CPC33020 Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying

Overview

The CPC33020 Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying will apply the skills you have learned at work and continue to develop your ability to work with building materials to build veneer or full brick constructions. You will work with clay, concrete, masonry and other building materials to create walls, partitions, arches, steps, stairs and other brick or block constructions. You will learn how to build curved structures and create ornamental brickwork.

The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry, as well as two specialist fields of work. The construction industry strongly affirms that training and assessment leading to recognition of skills must be undertaken in a real or very closely simulated workplace environment and this qualification requires all units of competency to be delivered in this context.

Individuals who are currently working as unqualified bricklayers and are looking to formalise their existing skills and knowledge.

Training Location and Course Delivery

We structure the course to fit in with our students’ busy work schedule. The course is offered as a Skills Gap Assessment program with training only for those units for which the individual needs additional skills and knowledge. You will be provided with a trainer who still works in the industry to assist you work your way through the course.

The RPL assessments are designed for those people currently working within the building and construction industry as bricklayers and want to be assessed for the qualification based on their current experience and skill levels.

The full fee for service charge of this course: $12,000

The CPC33020 Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying comprises a total of 27 units of competency, 21 of which are classified as core units and 6 are electives. You must be deemed competent in all 27 units to attain the qualification.
